clothes用法：clothes可作名词和动词，当clothes作名词时，其基本意思是“衣服、服装”，同时也可指上衣、裤子、内衣、外衣以及特殊场合的服装等；而当clothes作动词时，其可译为：给…穿衣；为(某人)提供衣服等。

一、clothes的用法

用法：clothes是衣服的统称，不仅包括coat、shirt、dress这样的衣服，而且还包括trousers、socks穿在身上的所有东西；clothes表示衣服时，是一个没有单数形式的复数名词，其前不可加不定冠词，也不可加数词，但可用some、these、those、many、（a）few这些词修饰。

二、clothes特殊身份

clothes是复数名词,单复同形。所以clothes前可用my, your, his或the, these, those, a few, other, much, a great deal of, a good many修饰(谓语动词用复数),也可用a pair of clothes, a suit of clothes修饰(谓语动词用单数)，但不可用数词修饰。

三、clothes释义及例句

（n）：衣服；服装等含义；

（v）：给…穿衣；为(某人)提供衣服等含义；

例句 1、I didn't have time to change clothes before the party. 我没时间在聚会前更换衣服。

例句 2、I didn't have enough clothes to last a week. 我的衣服不够一周穿的。

例句 3、She started on at me again about getting some new clothes. 她又就买新衣服的事情数落起我来。

例句 4、Why waste money on clothes you don't need? 为什么浪费钱买你不需要的衣服呢？

例句 5、Take some spare clothes in case you get wet. 多带几件衣服，以备身上弄湿了好穿。
